Why does my cat run out of the room when I come in?

My cat is usually in my living room when I get up in morning. I get dressed and as soon as he sees me he runs out of the room and into my bedroom. Then he will usually come back into the room 15 or 20 minutes later looking for attention. I cannot figure out why he started doing this.
