Why do cats groom your hair?

My cat will occasionally "groom" my hair while laying in bed. Does she look upon me as her "kitten"?

Cats spend an enormous amount of time grooming themselves and each other. It's not so much that you are her kitten as it is a cats grooming other cats thing. She's treating you as she would treat another friendly cat.
