I have one cat. Should I get a 2nd cat so she has a companion? She just seems lonely.

Yes, with one caveat. If your cat is the kind that likes to be alone, then no.

Even if your cat is the kind who likes companionship from other cats, it may take some adjustment time for them to get along.
