Should I add a boy or girl cat to the house?

Is a 4 month Birman girl or boy kitten better to add to my home with a 1-year-old neutered Birman cat? My 1-year-old Birman cat came to my home with his littermate brother. We lost his littermate brother 3 months later.


My 1-year-old has been without a sibling for 6 months now. I am looking to get another Birman kitten. Will my 1 year old neutered Birman adjust better to a 3 to 4 month old Birman boy or girl? I will spay or neuter the new baby also.

I don't think the sex of the cats matters. Get a boy or girl, it's all good at that age.
