These are some of my favorites, along with popular names among readers. Of course, I've already mentioned my cat, Jazzy, which fits either a boy or the rarer ginger girl.
Amber – Have you ever seen the 1993 movie, Jurassic Park? Amber is a fossilized tree resin with a yellow-orange color. And we can make dinosaurs. :)
Apricot – According to Wikipedia, the color apricot is a light yellowish-orangish-pinkish, similar to the color of apricots, but somewhat paler.
Arizona - In Arizona they've got sunshine, beautiful red canyons, and desert landscapes.

Cinnabun - The Simpson's parody of the Cinnabon bakery chain. Either name works well for a kitty with cinnamon colored fur.

Heathcliff – The street-wise orange cat from the comic strip of the same name. He was "born on the wrong side of the tracks in the bad part of town."
Henna - Henna is a dye from the henna tree, Lawsonia inermis, used to color skin and hair for millennia.
Honey – Does your cat have a sweet disposition? Honey can vary a lot in color, and darkens as it ages, but it often has a golden color. As a cat name, Honey is a better choice for an orange cat than Sugar. Don't you think?
Kumquat – This citrus fruit looks like a smaller version of an orange. Introducing people to your cat would be fun if you could say, "Meet my little Kumquat!"

Lockheed - In Marvel comics, Lockheed is a fire-breathing alien dragon about the size of a cat.
Ms. Marvel (Sharon Ventura) - At one point, Sharon Ventura mutates into an orange-skinned, hairless She-Thing. When she does have hair, it's orange-red.
Niels the Cat (Hairball) - Niels begins his story as a mischievous orange cat in Marvel's Speedball. After acquiring superpowers similar to Speedball, he joined the Pet Avengers.
Scarlet Witch - Wanda Maximoff is a Marvel character known as the Scarlet Witch.

Everyone has their favorite beverage, right? Is your kitty a party animal? Do you feel like celebrating when your furball is around? Here is some inspiration for naming orange or red cats based on drinks, spiked, or not.
Bitters - Orange bitters are added to some cocktails.
Bloody Mary - Tomato juice, vodka, and spices.
Fanta – Fanta orange soda. It's good, but probably not as good as Orange Crush.
Grenadine - A red colored syrup used in many cocktails.
Julius - Orange Julius is a delicious smoothie drink. It's made from a mixture of orange juice, sweetener, milk, powdered egg whites, vanilla flavoring, and ice. It's like a blended orange Creamsicle. To make one, all you need is this Blendtec blender from Amazon.
Martini - If this seems like an unusual choice for an orange cat, it is. That's why I mention it. The 100 Proof Martini is made with Southern Comfort 100 Proof and dry vermouth and is orange in color.

Orange Crush (the soft drink) - One of my favorite carbonated beverages, which I think I like better than Fanta. I feel a taste test coming on.
Red Bull - The famous energy drink that gives you wings.
Rookie - The Amaretto Rookie is Disaronno almond liqueur and butterscotch schnapps.
Soda - Based on orange soda, of course.
SunnyD - An orange flavored beverage.
Tang - The orange flavored drink mix made famous by astronauts.
Twist - A spiral cut of fruit, often added to cocktails.
Zest - Made from the outer peel of the fruit and used to flavor cocktails and foods.

Cheeto (or Cheetos) - I love the crunchy Cheetos, and this makes a great name for an orange kitty.

Cheez Whiz - This processed cheese spread is another thing I ate too much of as a kid.
Doodles - As in, Cheese Doodles. Similar to Cheetos, but puffier. I can't eat them. Don't ask me why.
Dorito – This crunchy Frito-Lay snack comes in many flavors, and is the downfall of many a dieter. Flavors include Fiery Habanero, Nacho Cheese, and Jumpin' Jack. I've consumed far too many of these tasty, cheesy snacks.
Jumpin' Jack Flash - Speaking of Jumpin' Jack flavored Doritos, this is a cool name for a cool, high flying feline.
Nacho Cheese - That's "Nacho Cheese!" It's mine.
Queso - Spanish for cheese.
Quesadilla - A Mexican cheese sandwich, made with a tortilla and cheese, of course.
Snap (Snap'd) - Snap'd is a crispy snack within the Cheez-It brand.
Velveeta - "Liquid gold." Need I say more?

If either one of those is true, these would be purrfect. These names also work if your cat's coat reminds you of a particular spice color.
In addition to spices, I've included some spicy hot food dishes as well.
If your cat likes to "kick it up a notch" (and hey, what cat doesn't?), some of these are my favorites.
Banana - Banana peppers are mild, and the pickled version is delicious on sandwiches. They resemble bananas in shape and are often yellow, hence the name, but they can be red or orange. Go ahead, be different, and name your orange kitty Banana. People will ask you why.
Buffalo Wing - Buffalo wings are famous for their spicy, orange tinted sauce.
Burrito - Tortillas filled with good stuff.
Cajun - Cuisine from Louisiana that is often spicy and hot.
Caliente - Because spices can be hot (picante is used for spicy, but I like this one).
Capsicum - The genus Capsicum ("the pepper") is in the nightshade family. It includes banana, bell, cayenne, and chili.
Cardamom - A cousin to ginger.
Cayenne – A popular type of Capsicum often used in Cajun cooking. If your ginger kitty has some CAT-itude, this spice could be a good name.
Chili Pepper - They're red hot, and so is your kitty. This one's a natural.
Chimichanga - A type of deep fried burrito, often served with salsa or hot sauce.
Chipotle - A smoke-dried Jalapeño.
Cinnamon - One of my favorite spices. For something slightly different, try Cinnamon Toast, Cinnamon Loaf, or Cinnamon Roll.
Enchilada - The whole enchilada.
Galengal - Another cousin to the ginger plant, with a stronger, more citrusy flavor.
Garlic - Garlic is bad for kitties, but it makes a cute name for any feline, including gingers.
Ginger – I'll just leave this one right here.
Habanero - Once crowned the hottest pepper of them all, it has lost that title as new varieties have been created.
Heinz 57 - This condiment has a dark orange-yellow hue to it and a distinct flavor among sauces.
Honey Mustard - One of my favorite dipping sauces, and appropriate for a milder, gentler, kitty of the orange purrsuasion.
Horseradish - Not stuff, and a cousin to mustard.
Hot Sauce - Plain and simple.
Jalapeño - A flavorful type of chili.
Krachai - A ginger cousin, it goes by names such as fingerroot and Chinese ginger.
Mace - A spice made from the reddish seed covering of the nutmeg seed, mace can color food orange, similar to the way saffron does.
McCormick - A huge spice company with a number of brands under their wing.
Meatball - There's an old television commercial using the line, "That's a spicy meatball!" This isn't a name I'd normally pick for a cat. But... given the connection between gingers and spiciness, I think it works.
Mojo - Any of a number of sauces of varying spiciness, originating in the Canary Islands. In Cuban cooking, Mojo Criollo recipes often include sour orange juice.
Morita - A type of chipotle from the Mexican state of Chihuahua.
Nutmeg - A slightly sweet spice used to flavor many foods. It's not orange or red, but there's a red waxy webbing or netting that covers it (used to make mace), and ground nutmeg itself can have a reddish-brown look to it.
Onion - Onions, along with garlic, are also bad for cats. Oh, the irony.
Pad Thai - A delicious stir fry with rice noodles, garlic, and red chili.
Panang - Panang is one of my favorite dishes. It's a type of salty-sweet red Thai curry with a peanut flavor. It's has an orange hue to it, and it's delicious.
Paprika (Prika, Rika) - Paprika makes food less boring by adding color and flavor. Your kitty does the same for your life, your home, and your happiness.
Pepper - Another simple and to the point choice.
Pepperoni - An American salami, spiced with chili.
Pepperoncino - Inside every Papa John's pizza box is an Italian pepperoncino, grown in Turkey.
Picante - Spicy, as in picante sauce.
Piper - A genus of pepper plants including the plant that produces black pepper and white pepper.

Cutie - Cuties, or California Cuties, are marketed towards children as healthy snacks. They can be Clementines, Murcotts, or Tangos.

Orlando tangelo - A cross between a Duncan grapefruit and a Dancy tangerine.
