My cat will not use a litter box

My cat lives in a loving home with her cat mother, myself, and 2 children. She is very affectionate. When I went back to work after Covid, she started pooping and peeing outside the box. She has her own box and she did at one time use the same box as her mother. I have tried calming cat food, calming collar, and cbd to no avail. I am at my wit's end. I've had to get rid of 2 floor rugs. I am very close to surrendering her to the Humane Society.
