Gus was our loveable friend who adopted us by crawling up my arm at the shelter. We lost our buddy last year too soon to kidney failure. We'll meet you at the bridge, pal.

I used to have a cat who picked me at a shelter. She put her paw through the cage bars and pulled my hand over to her. She was 4 years old then; I lost her to kidney failure too, but at age 20!! She was the sweetest, most mellow kitty ever.
