Do young cats remember their mother and father?

We have 2 Persian kittens of 3 months each. We are traveling for a week and would like to leave them at my friend’s house with their mom and dad. This is the first time the kittens will be seeing them after we got them home. Will they remember them?

They probably will, although sometimes cats can fail to recognize other cats they know if the scents aren't right (like after one cat returns from the vet and smells weird).
