Cat toy on my comforter?

I've had my kitty, Calvin, for a year. Every night for the past couple of months, he has left his favorite toy on my bed while I'm sleeping. I think it's funny and adorable, but wonder if this behavior signifies anything?

Hi,
My one cat has started going down stairs to the laundry and brings up multiple socks and cleaning pad while yowling. I think it's her version of hunting and bringing me a find.

My kitty brings hers up to play with. Sometimes I am awake, sometimes not.

Your cat loves you!

I would think that him/her leaving a toy on your bed is a positive thing. Especially if he was sleeping on the bed next to it. It's a sign of trust that he will leave his favorite toy with you. It could mean that if he leaves it there he won't have to find it later. Or, maybe he's just being lazy and not putting his toys back, as in just leaving it the last place he was. But if he does this on a continual basis, odds are he loves you and trusts you!!

MY cat Everette, would jump up on the bed on SUNDAYS!
He would pull a silk flower off one of my silk plants in the apartment, and then shyly sit back a couple feet yet push the flower towards me with such a sweet expression on his face.

One, I think he wanted to wake me up.

Two, and most importantly, as it is said in the kitty world, when your cat brings you a "gift," it's their way of showing you that they love you.

My other two kitties NEVER showed this kind of affection. Inherently, SUPPOSEDLY this kind of behavior is seen more in male cats than female cats.

My female cat, Cocolani was so "Girly" like! She loved to partake in my sewing and beading projects, .. Pushing beads along beading line, treating thread like it was kitty dental floss, and keeping fabric company.

Elsie, my "middle furchild," was uniquely different in his own ways. The one thing that comes to mind is that he was so protective of his food (snacks) and teddy bears. He'd walk around with his teddy bear in his mouth, and growl letting the two other cats know,.."STAY AWAY! THIS IS MINE!" When it was snack time, I'd give them fresh chicken. Likewise, Elsie would walk off with his piece and growl in his territorial way, sort of like when a cat goes into their Protective hunter mode."

Mutually, it sounds like your kitty brought you a gift of love, as well as his way of saying,.. "Come on,..Let's play!"
