Cat seizure episode due to stress

When we first adopted our male British Shorthair cat, we tried to give him a shower which to me was the same as our other cat, and at first there were no problems closing the bathroom door during shower.
But for some reason it started to have seizure episode whenever we tried to make it go to a closed space or even a pet carrier. So we have no way to bring it to the vet by car. We tried to give it a calming pill but it never works. It doesn't even have any effect on him. Any solution to this?
