Cat purring sounds like snoring

My indoor cat is eating, grooming, and drinking as normal, but he has been losing a lot of fur. He is a longhaired cat.


The problem is when he purrs, he sounds like he is snoring. The vet did not seem to be worried about it, but I am.

Is there anyone that has had the same problem with their cat please?

You should be worried! Has he gotten LARGER-as in weight. My cat got older and larger too. The snorting became quite loud when he would sleep on my bed at night. Took him to he Vet and he developed a Allergy. Yup. Got him all straightened out and now he's the happy boy I once l knew.!
