My parents had my precious angel from day one (or two, considering my half-brother owned him first) and he was crazy. Bouncing off walls, running into the woods and everything.
I didn't know this side of him because when he was nine I met him. He was there for me in everything, my birth, my first birthday, my first day of school, elementary, pre-school and middle school.
Jinx was there for my first heart break and I held him and cried on his gray fur. Well, when that boy came over he scratched him.
Jinkus Alowcious Bolrigard Jackson the fifteenth was truly my best friend and always will be. I was at a friend's home when my mother came over and announced that we had to put the poor baby to sleep so I spent two hours staring at his gray body as he only could breath through his nose.
It was time to end his pain. At 3:10 we left for his appointment and wrapped that frail body in a Giants blanket. Jinx stared at me with his big green eyes with many meanings.
One: what was going on? Where were we taking him? He wanted me to help him. My brother wanted me to help him but I couldn't.
The doctor told us that he only weighed 6 pounds. 6 pounds we couldn't believe it. About five years earlier he had weighed 15. It was time though.
He tried to walk off and me and my mother had to help him stay on. When the doctor picked him up and brought him into his office to get ready for it we all cried. My family was losing a member.
At exactly 3:39 Jinx passed on. He still lives in all of us but we are all broken up. God bless him.
