Can a cat die days after being yelled at?

I was just getting home late at night and my two-year-old cat loved jumping in the car and walking around. We hung out for a few minutes and then I wanted to go to the house.
He wouldn't get out of the car so I grabbed him by the back of the neck and he was heavier than I thought and I accidentally lost my grip. He seemed to hit the side of the car a little and I said "get out of the car" sternly and stepped towards him and he ran off.
Two or three days later he died after breakfast. The vet said it was his heart. Can that horrible event have brought on the heart attack? I was his favorite person 'cause he used to do the kneading thing with his paws on my lap and in the car to like it was his. I can't help but think it's my fault.
